Women Defense Circle

I need another man to interpret this.

Where I work it’s mostly women. (School) I usually will sit with them or by myself at my own table depending on the day. I’ll be included in conversations, join one, make comments in my frame, etc.

I noticed something odd yesterday at lunch they had not done before. They all gathered around the same table. They had excitement in their voices, higher pitch, encouraged on another to join in.

I call this “defensive circle” . You may have notice girls in high school or at a bar do this. They form a barrier and are in a rush to form it.

I was sitting quietly by myself so I do not know what triggered it. I didn’t want to play that game, so I got up and left.
