I think she is not going to give you a straight answer. It is not going to happen. Best case is you ask her out again and she says "Sorry I am busy". Thiis is her most straightforward answer.
Women are chicken when it comes to be bold and say what she thinks. No way she'll tell you...
I don't think it is very unusual though: many men would behave excatly same way: they will never tell you face to face "no dude, I am not going to go there cuz I don't like it...." they would come up with somehting "Hm, I'll call you". Needless to say they won't call you in time.

I suggest to try some free dating sites then: matchdoctor or Plentyoffish. They are free!
And if that somebody has sucess with craiglist, you may ask him how he is doing that.. if I were you I would.
