"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

One thing I m not sure on in the DJ approach to life.
Is it worth trying to make female friends?

My experience is that they tend to drop u once they be got a boyfriend.

Social proof seems to say yes u should. On the other hand they re flakier than I d accept in my male friends.

And b interested in yr thoughts on the special case of being friends with Exes.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

They can be a friend with you in ways other than sex and intimacy...

But no you shouldn't be making friends with ones you have a strong attraction for, and they keep you friendzoned. It's not good for your mojo.

which gets back to Exes. One from an LTR got in contact to swap some stuff. Not looking to get back - I pulled the pin We were good friends. Be interested in your experiences. Diff dynamic with a LTR g/f - you do a lot of things for her. You wouldn't want to repeat that.

I don't personally think that having female friends returns a lot of value, unless they're FWB of course. Although I enjoy the company of women and their feminine energy, if they're not willing to have sex with you I don't see much point in hanging around with them.

As for exes, I have no problem at all being civil, or even friendly with my exes. But I don't hang around with them.

I do think that female friends are good for one thing: If you have a lot of female friends, they can make for a good smokescreen if you are looking to cheat. If you have the kind of relationship where opposite sex friends are fine, or even routine, you could bang certain women and if your girlfriend complains, you can say "Oh, she's just a friend". This isn't my style, but I know a lot of guys around here are into cheating, so there you go.

Women can also use male friends to camouflage their cheating, by the way.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Some do and some don't. It really depends on their level of interest in you.

The only way you can be friends with an ex is if you are completely 100% over her. If you have absolutely no desire to fvck her, then all of it is in your favor.

Thanks Guys

I'm already hunting unicorns. Think I'll leave the purple ones alone. Odd had lots of female friends when I was in NZ - still got some of them 10 years later. Here in Oz they seem very transactional - i.e. wanting to profit on every deal not play the average. I'll DX her stuff.

You can't really be friends with women. Either you want them or they want you. You could become friends with an average looking girl who you would not fvck but chances are she wants you.

You can bang her occasionally as a friend. You don't treat your friends like $hit do you? Just be honest about this is going no where and it's mutual pleasure in sex.

But do you really think the one you try to make your woman has to give you "butterflies"? Many of us in real LTR's know that doesn't last, but good sex and loyalty can.

I'd say you can be friends with women.

But you have to have NO attraction to them whatsoever and it depends on the chick.

Most female friends are a waste of time, they want something or they are you friend because of XYZ.

Friends with the Ex- I think you can be polite and pleasant but being friends- not if you ever shared an emotional connection. It's never healthy.
