Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I have only known for about a week ask me if I had a girlfriend?

She just moved into the home I live in with 2 other guys and we have chatted and get on cool (she is from Canada and I'm a New Zealander), but I just find it a little strange that she would ask me that question.

I answered back and said 'ha ha if I did have a girlfriend, you would have seen her by now"

and she answered "well I don't know you might be fighting or something"

any thoughts?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Nobody is a mind reader here.

But heres 4 ******** translations for the hell of it.

"Is he gay?"

"Is there some social proof?"

"Heres some curious fluff talk"

"All the above"

Either or take it as an invite to nail it anyway.

Btw you should have busted her balls on it, your reply was pretty weak, but nevermind. I got asked last week if I was married and replied with "why, you putting your hand up?" , also used "Slow down, get in line I'll see what I can do", not the best but not too bad I think on the fly.

EDIT: Holy sh!t "w@manese" is edited out? Thats a new one, anyone know why? just another gayer by the day reminder or what?

I get what you are saying man, the reason I find it odd is because there are 2 other dudes living here and she hasn't asked them, I noticed too that she was playing with her necklace when she asked me...b.t.w. she has a boyfriend and you can't judge that my reply was weak because you don't know what tone it was in.

I actually remember asking her with a puzzled look on my face why do you want to know?, it's just curiosity I mean I have had girls ask me this many times before...but I had known them a lot longer than a week you know.

Peace for you answer anyway.

P.S. That is crazy that W O M A N E S E is edited out

You have to keep in mind SHE'S YOUR ROOMMATE, she simply wants to get to know you. Most likely she wants to set the boundaries. If you have a g/f, she can let down her guard a little, if you don't it depends on what she's already decided about you, at this point she's already attracted to you or your in the LJBF zone. More likely the latter.

The thing is I never once said I was attracted to her or anything like that dude so you can ease up on the capitals, I and will freaking stress this for those that can't read!...I was just curious, which I guess she is about me...I am curious why she has only asked me and not the other room mates?, is that a crime?...I wasn't aware it was.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

holy crap. do you realize how AFC it is to obsess over some comment some chic makes?

even if she did like you, with the type of thinking you are exhibiting, if you got her you'd screw it up.

holy crap. do you realize how stupid it is to actually miss the question that was asked?

even if you did, your answer would still be stupid with the kind of replying you are exhibiting (and you have close to 800 posts???) if you did get it, you'd be screwed.

even though MacAvoy annoyed me with trying to tell me something I already knew, he displayed he knew what I was asking and gave a mature answer, yours was just an anal response and it was clear that you are just trying to show everyone how much of the man you are....so Joekerr31...go **** yourself

LOL Who's the mature one now? Nothing like the kid who takes his tennis ball home so no one else can play cuz he didn't get to score the goal.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
