"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Swiping left on a Tinder profile is the same as pulling the lever on a slot machine.

You might match, you might not. You might win, you might not.

And so the addictive brain chemical dopamine rises in your brain in anticipation for the win.

Its also the messages themselves.

Each positive reply from a potential sexual partner encourages a dopamine response in the man’s brain.

After facing a rejection or a non response, many men act like gambling addicts at the end of a losing streak. Anger. Frustration. Desperation.

When a girl stops replying, she’s not just rejecting the man. She’s also taking away his dopamine surges. And so the man will message her again and again, often not so much desperate for her as desperate for another hit of dopamine.

The value of the average woman is ARTIFICIALLY raised and the value of the average man is artificially lowered.

Online dating is where average men go to have their self-esteem destroyed.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

The entire dating app is a sales funnel into their premium service.

And you can be absolutely certain that their algorithms encourage people to end up paying.

How do they do this, well, it seems likely that it goes something like this:

  • The profiles of new users are made visible to a large number of people. An early success will suck new users into using the dating app for the long-term.
  • Overtime, the algorithms will gradually decrease the visibility of the user’s profile. As the user begins to get less and less attention, the “Boost” option begins to seem more and more attractive.
You can be sure that the vast majority of those paying for the premium service are men. In fact, this is the foundation of the business model of online dating.

I find it boring. It's like looking at the same kinds of people over and over again. Random strangers that I'm never going to meet showing off their expensive handbags. Why would I care? If you do get a match then it's a boring conversation with a woman that expects to be entertained and often is just there to pass the time anyway with no intention of meeting up.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Solid! And we couldn't agree more.

Does OLD (Tinder) give you results? Of course. Does it mess with your mindset, confidence, and valuable time? We (Modern Man Advice) strongly believe so.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this and expressing your own opinion on Tinder.

First time I ever heard someone refer to Tinder as addicting. I feel bad for people if they're addicted to Tinder , but I kinda get it. It's an easy way to pull girls and have sex with a variety of sluts who want nothing but a good time.

Tinder, Facebook, twitter or anything with notifications are DESIGNED to be addictive. This is from the horse's mouth from one of the co-founders of facebook.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
