Why is there a censor filter here?

This is a forum of guys giving advice on dating, sex, guy things, etc... Why bother with a censor filter? The words being censored are words we all use everyday. Even girlproblems.com, which is full of 13 year olds, doesn't use a censor filter. It makes this forum look like a bunch of politically correct wimps. Does anyone agree that it should be changed?

If there were no censor filter, then we wouldn't have such endearing terms as "fvck", one of my favorites. Drew, it's not that I CAN'T have a discussion without profanity, I just don't like the choice being made FOR me.

Personally I like to use profanity (in moderation of course) because of the emphatic effect it tends to have on certain statements I make in my articles.

Censor or no censor, my posts may at any time contain vulgar language and if you don't like it, don't ****ing read them.
