Such a high rate of divorce must make it obvious that marriage isn't all its cracked up to be.

Without the moral guilt present in the 50s, couples are free to call it quite without both seeming like communists . I'm actually surprised that the rate is as low as it is. I think some couples still have the 50s mindset
