"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

In relationships, it's mostly because men do not set the boundary at the outset. A man making it known, directly or indirectly (my method is indirectly) that he will not tolerate a gf gaining weight on him, is key, and if she objects with this inner person crap, tell her that part of the inner person is her work ethic and confidence, and neither can exist in a woman who lets herself go.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Why date a woman who you'd need to set such boundaries? Why not date a woman that enjoys being fit and trim and wouldn't compromise herself? Why date a woman that you have to treat like a child?

Just an interesting graph I ran across on CNN.com. America is almost off the charts! :cheer: Maybe they should outlaw the cheerleader from American high schools. Also notice that the three least obese countries in the survey are Non-Western European countries.

You live in the land of the Nordic Snow Cows, so you tell me. Most of them only stay fit and trim til they have a rock on their finger. Rare is the chick who stays fit for fit's sake.

Why do women (or anyone for that matter) become fat?

For the same reason anyone else becomes fat, because they eat too much.

The only way to fix it is to either eat less, or do things that burn more energy (exercise, get physically demanding jobs, use stairs more often, etc.).

Plus some people seem to believe in the concept of comfort food, which contributes to weight gain.

There are others, though thankfully a very, very small minority, that get erotic feelings from eating and becoming fatter. At least it's so small that I've never met a woman like this.

Some people are like me; they eat just enough to not feel hungry anymore, and then stop. I've been the same size for five (almost six) years now, always weighing the same. My weight hasn't deviated by more than a pound or two in either direction. I suppose the fact that I shy away from foods that really make you fat helps. I can't remember the last time I ate a candy bar or some ice cream. I sometimes eat cookies, but rarely. I might get some chocolate candy from the vending machine if I'm really hungry and there's nothing better available. As for chips, I always buy those organic corn chips with salsa, though even that is uncommon.

I think that most people would not gain a significant amount of weight if they do what I do. I'm not afraid to leave food on the table if I'm full or not feeling hungry anymore. Besides, I can always save it for later.

I never eat, and in fact hate "diet," "low fat," "no sugar," or "light" foods. Yet I haven't gained any weight in the last five years. So why is that?

So basically, eat whatever you like, but don't go overboard, and you won't get fat.

Here's another idea: If you eat meat, like most people, buy the leanest meat the store has (it'll cost more, but it's more meat and less fat, and thus a good buy), and trim the fat that's left.

Also, don't buy into that fad diet crap. They rarely, if ever work. The Atkin's diet is a good example. My mother has a coworker who's been on the Atkin's diet for years, but hasn't lost any weight. I eat what could be considered a reverse Atkin's diet, but I'm not fat.

Just my $.02,

Ben

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Good point, and that is why SnowCow is not a part of my diet. I'll admit that at least in this part of the country, it's difficult to find women who live the 'fitness' lifestyle.

Now recently I was in Denver and it's the exact opposite. Those women are unbelievable fit because of the amount of activities that they pursue. Completely different mindset than the women here.

Women in Denver are fit because if they weren't, they'd suffocate

that's something to think about.

A lot of kids are taught to clean their plate b/c of all the "poor starving kids in Africa" or some such shyt, but that kind of thinking makes no sense. The food that I leave behind won't make their situation worse, and eating everything like a pig isn't going to help them any.

Kids are guilted into eating everything on their plate in one sitting, and this carries over into the rest of their life. No wonder people are so fat.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Why do people get fat in general?

Could it be because soda went from 6.5oz to 16oz bottles in the last 30 years?

Could it be that mcdonalds 2.4oz 210 calorie servings of french fries is now 7oz and 610 calories?

Could it be that popcorn at the movies went from 3 cups 174 carloies to 21 cups fat tub of lard 1700 calories?

Could it be that BK's 2.8oz burger 202 calories went to 4.3oz and 310 calories?

Shall I go on? Ok then I will

Could it be that adult women are eating almost 400 calories more a day than they were 25 years ago?

We are fat because we eat a lot more than we use to. We each ate roughly 1700 pounds of food a year in 2000 which is roughly 250 pounds more a year than it was in the 70's.

Every other tv add is an add for macaroni and cheese or pudding pops or doritos. Everywhere you go is a vending machine and peoples idea of eating veggies is french fries and potato chips.
OUr healy breakfast has turned into 2 glazed donuts and an ice coffee with whip cream on top.
Peoples ideas of excercise is walking up one flight of stairs instead of taking the elevator. Wow that will really burn the calories after a trip to dunkin donuts.
