Why do men cheat? It's the same story.
You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?
Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.
One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.
Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
I'm telling you man, having options can change a person so easily. I'm having options now and I can see how you can let it get to you. I don't have the number of options as women, I generally float around 2-3, but that feeling of simply no way of losing is just mind blowing. Its hard to explain it but there is a reason why people advocate spinning plates/having options. Just don't let it get to your head is all I'm gonna say.El Payaso said:Lol. Whatever you say, youngin.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
I think culture is enabling hypergamy. I think part of the issue comes down the fact that divorce almost always unfairly punishes the man so there is no punitive consequence for cheating if you are a woman.PeasantPlayer said:Anyone else getting annoying when people answer with "they cheat because our culture promotes it" Seems like it implies women would never cheat or cheat as much if it wasn't for our culture which have no evidence. Maybe women cheat for the same reason men cheat? I understand what you are saying about culture, but people act like women would be angels if our "culture" was not the way it is now
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
