The first thing you notice when you start reading posts on this site or many dating sites is that you are told not be a nice guy, be a real man, be kind of mean and indifferent, be mysterious.
I started to wonder why being nice to women really seems not to work for most men, but being a little edgy works wonders. I also noticed that I would sometimes see really beautiful women with really nice guys with no money, or any social status. I wait tables, so trust me I see a lot of couples every day.
Why does being nice work for a few people and not for others?
I started to pay more attention to the interractions that took place in the restaurant where I work. There is a guy that started working with me that's absolutely the nicest man I have ever met. He is not one you would call good looking either. I thought that the girls at work and the females customers will probably not like that man because he was just too sweet to be a man. What a big surprise when 2 weeks later I surprised a bunch of girls talking about nice the man was and that they would do him in a heartbeat. This was intriguing, I thought female talk, until he actually starting banging a few of the girls we work with. And I on the other hand who was trying to be edgy was just ignored. Many female customers left their numbers for that man.
This goes against everything I learned on sosuave.
I also starting noticing something really interesting about another guy that I work with. I noticed that he, unlike the first one that was just nice to everybody, was nice to the pretty girls and mean to everybody else. Guess what? the girls at work cannot stand him, not that the pretty ones dont take advantage of his niceness by making him do all kind of things for them, but he never gets a date.
It came to my mind that the difference between those two was that one just truly a nice person, he was not putting on an act because he thought that would get him some action. The other one on the other hand is just pretending to be something he is not and the girls see through it.
I figured, the reason being nice does not work is that most men are not genuinely nice, they just act nice because they want some action and it repels the women.
That's why I now think that being yourself is really not a problem as long there is consistency and that you are real. I now think that what attracts women more than anything is being your true self whether it's a nice, mean, rude, careless person.
As an example, just look at the men J-lo dated and got married to. Her first husband was a waiter whom I dont know much about, the next person she dated was Diddy, a rapper, and then came her backup dancer who is kind of gay, after him came Ben Afflec who is a some preppy white boy and now she is with Marc Anthony who is some latin singer. All these people have really different personalities, but there is one thing they have in common: they are all real and true to themselves.
Will that work for me?
I have not tried anything on any girl yet because I am just trying to see if I was right. As waiter, I started to pay attention to how people tipped me. At first, I thought that being nice to my customers would get me better tips, so I was nice and my tips were not good, I noticed that the nicer I was, the worst my tips were. I decided to shift it around, I dont really like smiling for some reason, so I stopped smiling to my guests, I stopped being nice and just went with the way I felt which is I tend not to care very much about things. I am actually slightly mean to all my guests, and my tips have never been better. Most people tip me way over 20 per cent. Not only do they tip me better, they seem to like me more.
Arent we just all attracted to people we think are real?
Being nice or mean, or edgy or in between will not get you anywhere if that's just not the real you. If along the way you can change yourself and become what you think attract women it will probably work because you become another person with consistency.
I figured that's all sosuave is doing, it's making me myself(the real mean bastard) by telling me not to be myself (the emotionally F**ked nice guy).
