Master Don Juan
Hey all,
I haven't been on for a while since I've been in Paris (sweet!), but I got myself into a stupid, and I could use some advice.
A few days ago I was playing piano in an auditorium at my school. I was pretty focused on my music, but when I looked up there was this girl sitting there. She was pretty cute, but more importantly, she was French (those of you who like Parisian accents know this is quite alluring). So I was speaking to her in French, sucking at piano because I remember nothing, and she asked me if I could teach her a song. I don't know what I was thinking but I said yes. Quite simply, I don't want to - it was my summer job and I'm sick of it. But I got her number and two email addresses. I was getting some eye contact that said "I want you" - in any case, she was interesting and worth getting to know.
So what should I do? I'm not giving her a piano lesson - she has to do what I want to do - so I have two options in front of me: 1.) I was thinking I would give her a voice lesson, which would be funny since I don't know how to sing, and would give opportunities for kino etc. (I would make it work, no worries - oh and she told me she didn't sing well). 2.) I could call her up, tell her I can't give her a piano lesson, and ask her out on some other type of date where no lesson is involved. This option is more direct.
Any thoughts anybody? I should give her a call sometime soon (email probably wouldn't work too well for this sort of thing). What would you do in this situation?
Thanks,
