TM is just mantras which is simply another form of the same thing, yet for some reason they want to pass this off as esoteric knowledge. Most TM people I've heard from have an extremely limited understanding of the eastern philosophies that TM originates from which tells me it's just a repackaged, branded cult of knowledge that is otherwise free in no short supply all over the internet from people like Joseph Goldstein or Eckhart Tolle.
