"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I'm trying to buy some CDs but puzzled and overwhelmed by the amount of volume that are out there. I am after a total package on Money, Personal Improvement, leadership and healthy relationship.

I already read Richest Man in babylon, 48 laws of power, think and grow rich, what color is your parachute, rich dad poor dad, 7 habits, how to win friends n influence people and as a man thinketh. I'm planning to read The Prince next.

Which Tony Robbins books should I buy? Will I gain a lot by buying Tony Robbins CDs given that I already read all those books? Only someone who listened to the CDs + read all the above books would be able to comment :)

Thanks.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Before hunking down cash, may I suggest you get a copy of Penn & Teller's show Bullsh*t! and watch the episode called "Self-Helpless" (and it's free if you bit torrent it). They debunk Tony Robbins and other self-help gurus. For Robbins in particular, the significance of his walk on fire act is a parlor trick; no mind over matter required, anyone can easily and painlessly walk over a pit of burning coals so long as you keep on walking. For him and other gurus at large, for what Penn would eloquently call "...and then there's this asswhole", they scam people by having them pay often fortunes to "learn" something which is already there inside them. Some people become addicted to self-help and go from guru to guru, spending fortunes, without ever making "progress", real or perceived.

There's also the equally great episode of Bullsh*t! called "Life Coaches" which is basically the same problem.

I agree with Francisco.

I don't see how that "debunks" Tony Robbins.
It's an achievable task which most people uneducated people of the situation would deem impossible, or at least, very very painful.
The relation I see between the firewalk and other everyday situations is that goals such as achieving a level of income are just as achievable as walking across fire, given that your mind works in a way to support you.
Sure, it's already inside them, just like the potential ability to invent something radical.
If Edison hadn't invented the lightbulb, I'm sure somewhere along the line another individual or company would have, but it's a lot easier just to follow a preset example for success.

debunk? Hmmm... Then why are you at this website? I mean this is a self-improvement website and if it is truely debunk, then why are you here?

Most people need a bit of nurturing to bring out there best selves.

I don't mean to be an @$$ but c'mon, this is basically the same thing without the guys that make millions and millions of dollars. Plus, I plan on going into this profession.

and about something already been inside. Yes, lets go with that for a second.

Alright, if you have never used that inner strength inside of you before, do you know that it is there?

If you have never heard anyone say that it could be done, do you believe that it could be done only by the extrordinary people of this world?

If you don't know how to use that inner strength inside of you, would you use it?

Do you believe that if a person never concieved of him or her self doing something incredible, then how do you expect them to use their own inner strength?

Gee, I don't know. I don't believe that if anyone never used it before, than how could someone know how.

this is the same type of thing as if a person has never heard of, seen, or wanted to know what a zebra is, than do you think that a person would know what a zebra is?

That is the point of a self-improvement guru, they bring out something that someone has never heard or seen before and say, "hey, you can do this too." Just like this website, which has the same basic principles.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
