"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I was chatting with a girl last week. She's a cutie I'd been working up the nerve to talk to for a while now. She's giving me some ioi's like playing with her hair, laughing at my jokes, and giving me the "bedroom eyes" look while I'm talking to her.

We're walking together and out of the blue she ask me: "where do you live?" We've only been talking for about five minutes so I'm kind of surprised since this to me is a rather personal question.

I just say 'uuuuh, I live on street x.'
She senses my nervousness, and says 'well, it was nice talking to you.' She walks off quickly, and ends our conversation.

Later on, I was thinking through this conversation. Was she trying to hint to me that she wanted to come over to my place? In other words, inviting me to invite her? I saw her again a couple days ago and she seemed nervous or disinterested in talking to me.

Help me figure this situation out!

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

This is the funniest thing I've read in a while.

Read and re-read what you've written.

Does anyone have any legitimate feedback, lol. Unlike aftershock that is, who has clearly never even been with a girl.

PS: Why are you so upset that you have to swear? You have some self esteem issues, bro.

You've got to be joking. Let me quote you from another thread:

The main problem with this board is that the vast majority of people posting are sexually inexperienced boys. I learned more in two weeks of approaches than in two months of reading posts here.

Funny thing is, I NEVER see field reports on this board. Even from people who have posted hundreds or even thousands of times!
I detect possible hypocrisy.

What you just wrote is ridiculous man. I mean I've seen over-analysis in my time but that takes the cake. Tbh, she was probably just making conversation, but you can't know for certain so there's not much point in thinking about it.

Also, wtf would it make you nervous if someone asks where you live? jesus christ.

the difference between guys that get laid and guys that don't?
the guys that do- do..the guys that don't? hesitate and replay different scanarios of what they 'should've done' in their head and try to read into every little thing that the girl does as either a rejection or a 'signal'...
the next time you get signals, grab her, touch her, smell her hair, kiss her...
whatever...be a man for godsake

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Legitimate Feedback

Well now I've finished masturbating over when I'll have my first kiss, and nearly bled to death from cutting myself from the arm that I haven't had to have amputated due to excessively wiping the tears I've cried in my sad, despressed life, lets reply.

Her: "Oh no, its the guy who keeps staring at me nervously"

Going well.

Maybe she was looking for an excuse to get rid of you.

Yep, she was.

Up to now, it was standard newbie questions. Now it's just funny. THINK about what you posted. Again and again, until you realise how ridiculous this sounds.

She thinks you are weird.

I love your posts TnC! Keep em' up good stuff.

You could have used some CF when she asked where you lived.

Her:"So where do you live?"
You:"I'd live at ......., but you're not going to start stalking me now are you? Where do you live?"

That would have atleast progressed the conversation along. I think the conversation got akward and she bailed.
