"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Hi

I used to frequent these boards a lot, got my confidence growing and managed to move myself up from loser to semi-successful guy

I’m 21, at uni, and I have my life pretty much sorted, job, hobbies, etc, all except women

I’ve never been on a date, never had a girlfriend, never even gotten a girl’s number

I have no female friends either

Now I start working full time next year, so I want to get this area of my life sorted while I’m still at uni, and then start enjoying myself next year

Where do I start?

Eye contact and being personable (to some extent) is not the issue, I managed to get myself through some pretty gruelling interviews and land jobs

Cheers

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you.

It seems like you've read a lot of the material, but haven't applied it yet.

I'd suggest trying to be more outgoing and putting in a serious effort at making more female and male friends (shouldn't be too hard at uni - be sociable in class and join sports/clubs). That will allow you to meet a lot of girls through social circles.

Also, make more of an effort to actually game women. You say you have never gotten a number -- have you ever actually really gone out and tried? The only way to get better at gaming is through trial and error experiences.

ouch man that sucks to be in a university and missing the aspect of ****ing women has to suck. Missing out on high school is bad enough but college where ***** is simply a conversation away must be really hard. I'm sure someone will give some good advice. I'm to tired to advise anything beneficial at the moment.

yeah i'm only now starting to realise what a lot i've missed

my friends to date have mainly been loser guys like myself, and being ignorant of what was out there, i was happy

but now i'm going to make some real changes. i'm going to lose the skinny dweeb look i have and bulk up so i dont have to be in a suit to look ok, i'm going to get good at my hobbies, and dammit i'm going to get good with women!

my only thing is, i dont want to lose who i am in this process if it's possible

i have some nerdy characteristics and left wing tastes which i love. i of course have no problem cutting down on these isolating activities, but i dont want to start to pretending i'm someone i'm not

i've met some guys who retain their nerd characteristics but are just so smooth and charming that women dont care, and hell even join in on a friday night watching science fiction (not all the time, but i hope you get what i mean)

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

No, we're out here. We just enjoy watching some of you guys bounce frantically off the walls. :p

You've already said it, you're going to start working on yourself. Getting fit and getting some new hobbies that involves interacting with other people will build your self confidence, without it you end up going down the road that you're pretending to be someone you're not.

Become comfortable in your own skin, start building an life that you find interesting and enjoyable; then start sarging women. It'll be a bit easier for you then.

Why not?

Are you some genius scientist who has been working in an underground laboratory for the last four years, working on a chemical concoction to save humanity from the next viral outbreak?

What were you doing in school? It'll be a lot harder once you start working!

it was my fault

i found every excuse in the book to stay within my sh!tty comfort zone...i've never really had much money, i have bad breath, you name it...

but then usually i just focus on on my career and use study as an excuse, i've got awesome grades, which always used to get me to interviews, but then i fked em up in interviews

so i began working on myself and now have got my career pretty well sorted for now

but i was clinging to the hope that it'd be easier when i start working...i plan to move out of home, get a bike (maybe) and start living it up

You never approached a woman!!! You obviously lack self-confidence!! You don't money to get a girl! See a dentist for your breath issue - problem solved!

Use your intelligence and hard working attitude to get woman - but as I stated - it will be much harder when you are devoting 20 hours of your life to sleep and work.

College is a hor's playground, and this is the time for the man to play!

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
