in your case i think that her "maybe" meant no. she didnt want to hurt your feelings. remember most women are never direct. thats why most women give out their phone numbers with no intentions of dating the guy. when you said to her its a yes or no and she got pissed, you were being needy and desperate. you placed too much of value on the answer to the invitation. its an unattractive quality. how would you react if you already had 10 hot girls that you already invited to this event said yes. would you care if this one girl says maybe or even no? this is mentality you need to have. think as if i have an abundance of women/options mentality when asking a girl on a date or her phone number. this will eliminate you reaction seeking behavior.
