"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I was really getting on my friend's (this chick) nerves in a serious way. Kept disputing EVERYTHING she was saying (about a certain subject) and it just escalated into this huge argument. Got to the point where I literally had her stumbling for words...well I guess that was the straw that broke the camel's back because she SNAPPED.

Went off on me about my looks OUT OF NOWHERE. Said she hated my "greaseball hair", my "nasty" looking eyes and mouth. Said I had non existent muscles (which is false, my muscles are huuuge and pumped :)) Followed it up by saying I was just nasty looking haha. She said all of this in a mean envious way. I just laughed it off. She's told me before how she loved my hair, eyes, muscles etc. The point is why would she react like that and say those things. Maybe because I come off as egotistical. She's mentioned this before in the past. Used to tell me she loved everything about me but I was too ****y and she hated that. By the way, i'm never talking to her again.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Was the argument worth your time? I absolutely never try to change people's opinion or impose my own. I may express my view, or appeal to reason but not in an arrogant manner. When arguments start, any thread of communication is over, all you're working for is resentment and broken communication.

Because this post is a waste of space and Allen's money. What do we care? Why do YOU care? Is this just a ego boost post to toot your own horn about how you have huge muscles and how a girl was showering you with compliments? How does this post matter? In any sense, shape or form?

Next time you hit that new thread button. Think about, am I contributing to this board or just making substanceless braggadocio?

^^ lol...you beat me to it. This type of stuff really is starting to become a problem around here...

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
