When do you call for a second date?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Guys get into way too much trouble worrying about this kind of thing.

The old rule used to be 3 days to text after the 1st date unless she reached out first. At the end of the day, that rule existed to admonish men who are overly thirsty and wanting to spam text a chick they just took out for the first time. Because that kills mystery and by operation, kills attraction.

However, if you are confident and the date went very well, my experience has been you hurt yourself more by simply disappearing completely without a trace for over a week after that. Carrying positive momentum is not a bad thing. No, you don't want to be overly available or spam texting, but disappearing many times can be sniffed out by these women as game playing and hurt you in the long run -- mostly because you leave the door open for some other guy to come in.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
