"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

The other night, I was at the bar in the city with some friends and some new girls. Anyway, during the night two girls on seperate occasions told me, "you smell good". Well, like a dork that I am, I always concentrate so much on my "game" that when a little gift like that is thrown my way I never seem to know what to say except to gawk back at the girl and say, "gee thanks". You would think the second time a girl complimented me on the same night i would have thought of something clever to say but nope... I just said, "gee thanks" (or something like that) again.

This post might go under the heading "how to receive compliments from girls" but I was wondering how I should respond? Should I say something ****y-funny? Should I say, "thanks you too!" or "yeah, if you're lucky you'll get to smell more of me later." etc? Or would a genuine, "thank you, I appreciate it." do the trick?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

No big deal buddy but maybe it was to you since you most likely thought the girls were hot. I can just imagine what it'd be like if they said "your cute" To think, a female telling you that you smell good is a 'sticking point' for you:p

TASTE. GENIUS.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Her: You smell good!

Me: No I don't, you're just attracted to me! :)

Any compliment that a girl gives, usually, at least, is a sign that she'd like you to pursue it further. That is their version of a straight approach, their version of initiating, except, we don't make much out of it because we use direct compliments and we really mean exactly what we say, and women interpret them as just a cheesy way that they are being hit on; we hear them as exatly what they sound like, a straight up compliment.

When women use a compliment, to us it sounds like a compliment, but it usually carries all the meaning that, they at least, feel that is necesary for the guy to recognize it; and off course, guys usually don't make much of it.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I agree, like i said originally, we all focus a lot on our own games and what we say etc... but personally, i've never taken much thought on the situations when girls actually come up with their own original thoughts, (haha). sometimes when a girl gives an indirect compliment, it's just a compliment... but other times its quite an invitation.... I like to think of it as an invitation :)
