"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

When some chick brings up an ex, keeps talking about them (not just a passing comment), and won't stop making you her personal Oprah, bring up your own ex and tell her she's changed your mind about exes and that you're going to work things out with yours. This way you've cancelled out being her bleeding heart talk show host and dropped a strong hint it's time for her to change the topic and move on with you or move on.

Thank her for her time. Tell her to call you in the future if you and your ex are broken up again by then and get up and leave. Problem solved.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

As long as she is slagging off her ex, she can talk about her ex all day long.

So you prefer to sit and listen to that while being her psychiatrist?

Better to give her a sh1t or get off the pot response and throw it back at her. Mention your "ex" and you've changed your mind and will go back to her.

Then get up and tell her to call you if you aren't busy dating your ex again.

I disagree with both comments.

When she keeps bringing up her ex, I say this:

"We don't need to talk about your ex anymore. The only way you'll be able to move on with your life is if you quit dwelling on the past. I would much rather spend our time together talking about you and me."

This is, of course, AFTER she brings up her old relationship the initial time. You must listen the first time she brings up her ex. When she does this, she's indirectly telling YOU what NOT to do.
And then she'll see him regardless behind your back.

If some broad keeps bring up her ex you need to tell them to call you when you aren't busy going back to your ex and keep it moving.

It's a bad sign if she even thinks about him. Her saying 'I hate him', usually would mean 'I still care'.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
