"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

SoSuave,

I'm 19, finished first year of college. The problem with me is that I just find my life being very empty. I have no friends, no fun, etc. I've had a GF for a year, but im not truly happy with the relationship. Shes okay but I feel I can do better. The problem is that other than her, I have no one. I am a bit shy but once I get the ball rolling I can be good with females.

Believe it or not I am good looking (i'd say a 7 out of 10). I worked out strenuously all year but have stopped for the past 3 months, but I plan to start that up again. Physically I am fine, I am smart, I make good grades, I even run my own business and make close to six figs at my low age, have a flashy car, etc, but I still feel empty. I find myself moping alot, my days seem very short and boring.

I am not in my college town right now, but rather in my boring home city, but I am hoping to change things up again once I return. I have read the DJ bible articles before but I feel I am still lacking. Any advice appreciated.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hey man, I've been in a very similar spot. Trust me.

The first thing you need to do is get out of your relationship. It's draining you of your precious energy. Life isn't about settling because there aren't any other options.

Next, you need to focus on honing your social skills. Go to my blog and read through the past 4 months of stuff, it shouldn't take you too long, but it should really give you a good sense about the direction you want to be headed in.

In terms of getting chicks, I feel that you might be a little closed. You have to focus on opening up to girls and relating on an emotional level.....yeah, just go to my blog and read it along with SpiritFingers' blog and the Charisma Arts blog. We'll get this girl situation figured out!

In terms of finding fufillment...take up cool new hobbies. Do you cook? Know anything about wine and whiskey? Race sportscars? Read Philosophy? Rock Climb? Yoga? Religion?

Let's get this life back in order!
