I find it strange that our "Tips" section is full of giant posts that are more appropriate for the main discussion page. For example, here is a recent one:

To me, a tip is something short and to the point that can be put to immediate and practical use. For example, a tip about what kind of opener to use on a girl, or where to take her on a first date, etc would only be a couple of sentences max. In fact, the email I get from this site "DJ Tip of the Day" is short and to the point, while the newsletter is much longer.
Now with that said, I find it strange that there are giant "Tips" posted in the "Tips" section that don't get moved to the general discussion section.
So my question is, what makes these types of long threads "Tips"? And if they are not tips, then why don't they get moved to the discussion forum?
This is not an isolated case BTW. Most of Pooks posts, which are very long, were posted in the tips section as well, even though they sparked a great deal of discussion and do not really fall under *my* definition of a tip.
Can someone clarify this?
Thanks.
