I always look more at the relationship the kid(s) have with dad, how the kid(s) act, and how mommy treats them. Woman I am with now has 3 kids, one adult and two still in school. But me and their dad have been friends for over 20 years so it's kind of a different thing. I know he isn't going to vanish from their lives and/or give me any cr@p what so ever. Woman hates it that he and I are still friends, but she will get over it.
