"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

One of the biggest lesson I've learnt in life is that you choose how u feel...... You aren't sad because your life isn't going good right now your sad because u choose to be sad remember u can't control what happens with things outside your control but u can always choose how u react to it ..........if u wanna be happy then just look into yourself and u can be happy

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

There are a lot of things in this life that can throw you off balance and affect your emotions, at which point not even your self control will be able to contain your emotions. I would modify your thesis like so; maturity comes with time and experience, I have no control over time, I can only control how much experience I gain.

Define choosing. Because choosing something can be done consciously and unconsciously

Your feeling depends on many factors, such as :
-Mood
-Health (if you're not sick)
-Hours of sleep (if you're not tired)
ect...

Even If you're the strongest man alive, if you're either sick or tired, you won't control your feelings

The root cause of all negative emotion is expectation, and when things do not turn out the way you thought it would. The path to happiness is to take joy in the effort without assuming what may happen. Think of it this way... you are happy when you start a project... and as long as the project is going well, you remain happy... and of course when things turn out well. You become depressed and unhappy when your plans do not match your hopes.

Have goals because you need a means to determine if what you are doing is working, but never EXPECT anything will happen the way you want because there are just too many variables in that equation.

This is why the ancient Greek philosophers placed so much value on hope. Pandora closed the box before the pestilence that would have killed hope was released. Hope is the fuel in effort that creates happiness. But never allow hope to become expectation.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
