"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

What Would You Put in a Pre-Nup?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

If only marry a woman who had more money than me. So I'd make sure the prenup says I get half at the end of the marriage.

It depends on your respective assets, and whether or not you own a business. Generally, you try to set aside what you have already so that it does not become joint marital property. But for something like a house or a retirement account, half of the gain in value over the length of the marriage will still be split 50/50. If you own a business and want to set it aside, you must never ever let the wife touch any of the accounts or be involved in the business in any way.

You also want an agreement that is enforceable, which means fair in the eyes of the judge. Have your spouse get her own lawyer to approve the prenup. You may even want to include something like volunteering to pay six months of alimony, if you are the breadwinner. That sounds crazy, but what you're doing is making a contract that isn't going to get thrown out by a liberal feminist judge. You have to assume that is who is ultimately going to judge the fairness of your agreement.

Each partner gets a Snake Pliskin bomb implanted in their neck. If the marriage ends, both bombs explode. Each party spends time listing and negotiating their respective demands for the marriage. (e.g. three handjobs a week, no more than a days worth of dishes in the sink at any time, lawn never more than one weeks growth, trash schedule, body fat and health limits, etc).

Once the contract is agreed upon, the Snake Pliskin bombs are activated. If either party fails to hold their end of the agreement, the bombs automatically go off simultaneously.

BOOM.

Marriage over.

Dear Des,
In my last Marriage,I used an early form of Pre-Nuptial agreement,It was drawn up with Dual Consultation by a Lawyer,he framed it,our individual Lawyers then considered the implications, and advised us each accordingly, the amended document was lodged in the Court. It was very generous to her, even paying her full award wages whilst indulging her Gardening hobby...It was eventually thrown out of the Family Law Court, but all ended OK as the Court accepted it back as a contract...I have never regretted using one....But Des,this all begs the question, why are you getting married at all?...Is this really your bag of fruit?

Has anybody ever heard of a exgirlfriend using the common law angle to be awarded anything? I live in a common law state, but I've never heard of anyone following thru with it during a split.

I imagine as marriage continues to decline that eventually common law will gain traction and you will see more angry girlfriends filing suit after a break up.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

@Scaramouche I'm not getting married. I just think it's a good thing to discuss this since most women would like to eventually move in with a man, and the legal system considers common-law the same as marriage.
Dont know how it is in Canada, but if you had a lot of assets like some rich guys, I would think putting those into various trusts might be an option to shield them from a woman in the event of a divorce. A lot of pre-nups can be overturned...so I guess in summary I have nothing of value to add. .......

Ive done a few pre nups. I always make sure that I write in about her and her wealth. Ive ben with women who have said "But I dont have anything." Ive pointed out that their Father/Mother/Aunt etc DOES have some wealth/assets and that if we split, Id be entitled to half her inheritance, should she be named in their will.

They always sign after that.

If you decided to co-habitate with a woman, what kind of things would you want to put into your pre-nup agreement?
The following things would be discussed:

1. Shared responsibility, financial and physical
2. Sexual conjugation, IE "withholding" for an extended amount of time null and voids the agreement
3. Infidelity, infidelity null and voids the agreement

Basically many of the BIG things that are problems in todays marriage/cohabitation.

It would be great if any of those terms were actually enforceable by the law, but none of them are. Do you really expect a judge to give your wife a court order to do the dishes and give you a blowj0b? It's not going to happen.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
