"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I have never known how to react to this situation...

This scenario has popped up many times for me, I just don't know how to handle it.
The most recent was an off-hand remark I made about her appearance, positive of course, when discussing my job.

Me: The guys in the back go nutz when a hot girl walks through the door.
Her: Haha, im not hot
**So I'm thinking to myself... This is a trap! and basically panic.
Her: Curly hair is out

What am I supposed to do here? I've read on the boards that you aren't supposed to compliment a girl too much... and if I jokingly agreed with her... that'd make me an ass! I also know that she spends a **** load of time straightening her hair every morning..

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I always tell any girl i'm with that negative talk about herself is not allowed when i am with her. I always try to lift up and make better, although some women just love putting themselves down all the time, and no matter how much you try, its just pointless. I next those kinds of women.

i agree with bachelor...I hate people who fish for compliments, so the best I'll usually offer as a response is a counter to their insult

"ahh, you're not that ugly/fat/dumb/etc," maybe with a smile to keep it light-hearted if I'm in a good mood

You have to specific as to the context of the situation. The hoter she is, the more she will focus on her inperfections, specially during intimacy. Is she is hot, and her clothes hair, and make up are perfect all the time, and she mentions it, you know she's fishing for compliments.

If she gets self-concious during intimacy when naked around you, you know she is just feeling vulnerable and it is not her fishing for compliments. This is when you reasure her and loose the fear to tell her something nice.

If you are a newbie, or someone who just doesn't get enough play from attractive women, you might not have the experience to tell the difference between these situations and will use a one size fits all approach. If you want to become the kind of guy that makes hot women feel connected to you, learn how to get good at reading and understanding women even before they can understand themselves.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

In this example you could have redirected the conversation back to how the guys react to hot women.
