"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Here's the backstory -

Started hanging out with her in the summer or so. After watching a movie one night, I got some play. Two weeks later, I got more play. I forgot and missed her b-day so I told her I'd make it up to her. I took her out and at the end of the night, she didn't even want to kiss me. I told her what's wrong and she said nothing? I got mad and left the car without saying bye to her. I made the wrong move but this was before I found out about this site.

After that incident, we didn't communicate for about 3 weeks or so. We met at a party but she was not interested in me. I told her I wanted to talk with her alone but she didn't want to. I played it cool this time and just tried to enjoy the party.

Then about 2 weeks later she texted me saying she got a new phone # and made me guess who she was. I guessed guys and girls name, intentionally leaving her name out(I had a hunch it was her). She replied by saying her "name". I asked when she was going to call and she called on a Friday. I didn't pick up and called her back on Monday and left a message. She didn't respond. I called her again a week later and still no response.

Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago and she sent me a message on myspace. She asked if I still wanted to be her friend and she missed hanging out with me. I replied by saying I didn't even know that we weren't any friends anymore and told her to call me when she wanted to hang out. Another mistake by me, I should've taken control.

She had another message asking me to go to one of her dance contest. I told her I might but I can't make any promises because I'm busy with work. The day came and she sent me another message, saying her friends will be there and I should go. I told her I can't make it because of work but told her to let me know how she did. A few days passed and she said she messed up and finished 2nd because she got nervous. I responded by saying "2nd is good. I guess..."

So what's my next move? Does it seem like I can still get some action from her?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

was not really a mistake, i dont know how to describe it, but don't worry about that part.

Seems the two of you are more into chase and drama than action
