You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Well, I went out with a girl yesterday to the movies. I was wanting to kino, but I kept waiting for her to meet me halfway. The movie started and I was like "forget waiting" so I just tapped her with my hand and held my hand up. She grabbed it and leaned on me. We cuddled throughout the movie.
okay but waht if she doesn't like it, wouldn't it be awkward if you go to put you arm around her and she like pulls away?Originally posted by intha_burbz
dude, put your arm around her then see if she likes it or not. if she likes it then she might move closer to you, smile, or kinda rest her head on your shoulder. then you shoul dmake out with her. firts make some jokes about the stupid characters in the movie, then lock eyes and dont pay much attention to the movie. lock eyes and you can just tell if she wants to kiss you or not.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Your right and now that I think of it, whenever I am out I always at some point in the night end up withmy arm around a girl because I do it naturally and in a playfully kinda way...how woudl this be any diffrent, thanks you actually put it in perspective for me lolOriginally posted by WORKEROUTER
Are we men here or p*ssies?
My question is this: how could you NOT put your arm around her and hold her during the movie??
Seriously, EVERY movie date I've been going on, whether in the theater, her house, my place, wherever!, my arm is around her within the first 15-20 minutes!
You gotta change your perception of what is "awkward." Think of it as totally natural...and guess what, it WILL be natural, both to YOU and HER.
I've never had a girl pull away from this.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
