Met this girl not too long ago. Took her out out an a date and we had a good time. The issue is I do like damn near all the initiating contact. Plus, the last few weeks she's just been completely MIA.One week she just didn't respond at all. After I reached out again and she did respond but eventually stopped responding. I get a text from her a week later apologizing for being distant I guess and she had some personal things going on and how she would still like to see me.

Okay, should I just jump right back in like nothing happened? Proceed with caution? Fall back a bit?

How many times have you asked her out since the first date? Try two times max, then the ball is in her court and it's time to move on. No self respecting guy should be hounding a girl to go on a date. She's either not interested or playing a stupid game and needs to grow up, either way her loss.

I haven't. I haven't really had a chance to haha. I mean I appreciate her addressing what was going on and mentioning that she wanted to see me so I took that as a good sign. So don't fall back right now?

Sounds like you had at least two opportunities to ask her out on another date, but you resorted to trying to have a text conversation. I'm not saying that's necessarily why she's unresponsive, but you're wasting your time.

This is what you do. Text her bluntly that you want to see her again and when you're free. If she ignores you, her loss move on. If she declines but shows interest, you can try one more time if you like. If she declines twice, you walk. No questions asked.

Her "preferred" guy stopped dealing with her so now she went back to you as the fallback. She may have some interest, but only until another guy she prefers more comes into the picture. If you can get her out make sure you bang her that night because you might not get another chance.
