"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I recently read a study that was done in England I think, that concluded that women are less attracted to men who break eye contact more frequently.

So, I've been working on it... holding eye contact with strangers on the street, etc, and it was going quite well until...

Yesterday I am on the treadmill on like mile 8, which happened to be at the end of the aisle that led to the women's lock room. I was attempting to make eye contact with most of them as they walked by. Most of them would see I was checking them out, making strong eye contact, usually look away at some point, but would often look back to see if I was still looking (of course you don't want to be creepy, and this probably wasn't the best place, but I am practicing everywhere.

I was doing pretty well, until and HB8 was headed to the girls locker room. She looked and matched by gaze for about a full 2-3 seconds as she was going by.

What did I do? Smile? No. Casually break eye contact, after having established I was looking? No.

I panic and immediately look down at the treadmill console. Not to the left, not to the right... but straight down!

Argh!!! What a tool I am!

Well one thing to keep in mind is it's good to hold eye contact once it's been established, but don't go thinking you need to give eye contact to every girl. Sometimes ignoring girls will draw them out. Then they're the one initiating eye contact and you can go from there.

Lmao... I am sure this was the case with the few of them, but F 'em

True, always a good idea to keep different strategies in mind, especially in situations, like if you're working a set. In this case though, it was just more for practice, and not a case where I had much more of a chance to make an impression. And of course, running for for an hour and being covered in your own sweat is probably not ideal conditions, but I am at the point where I not willing to accept excuses from myself for the timing not being perfect.

So what dude? I'd be less concerned with breaking eye contact and more concerened with the flogging you're giving yourself.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

^^^ Lol, I agree, so what...

I am not really flogging myself, just kinda laughing myself and having fun with a minor setback.

I am charging ahead.

Funny enough, a ton of guys who feel that they have the eye contact down are actually just freaking out the woman by just staring at them. Eye contact alone isn't enough.

yeah but sometimes you look right through them and they almost pass out and start bumping into walls and stuff. That's different though. I think that's expressing confident male sexual attraction with a chick you really find attractive, (and if they are attracted they will respond) and not making a point to keep eye contact with EVERY SINGLE girl you see.

I agree. The idea here is that it's better to acquire this skill and give it a go than it is to do nothing.

It's far more likely that you will creep them out if you do what most guys do-which is to look, and then look away every time they notice you looking.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Next up.. how to bang a woman using eye contact alone without saying anything. Has this ever been done?

The visible erection strategy could be of use here.

Just holding eye contact can easily backfire if the girl interprets it as "staring"... ,, I usually smile one second in and then hold eye contact for another second. You need to establish that you are 'friend' and not creepy 'foe'.
You and she are strangers after all - she does not know you from a bar of soap . You need to establish a connection of ATTRACTION not FEAR.

Just staring at her is unnerving.

This is a good point, in a lot of women's minds there's a thin line between attraction and fear.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
