What is a "power couple"?

I was talking to this woman, early 50s, and said she had this fantasy of her future "one" being a part of a "power couple"? What does that even mean?

That's a power couple.

2 families with wealth and connections joined through marriage.

It's two people who are both Alpha. Two people who each turn heads when entering a room alone, but who also match. Two people who can do role playing and acting together.
