Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I know why now I always try for a simple coffee date on the first meet!!!
I read somewhere, never tried it, that recommended ALWAYS show up for a first "date" for coffee, and arrange to MEET there.

Then arrive about ten minutes early, BUY YOUR OWN DRINK, and find a table. How she reacts when she arrives will tell you volumes.

You may find that very few girls will pass this "test," and that you'll have to go on quite a lot of first dates with a lot of women, but the one's that do pass this test will at least understand personal responsibility.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

A Latina with a few kids should have a nice booty. How does she look?

Of course, I'm wondering why *anyone* would want to date a woman with 3 kids ...

Did that make you feel better about yourself? I do that from time to time, call people idiots and morons online when I need to blow off steam. Then I started getting laid and wouldnt you know it, I wasnt so easily wound up anymore.

People should get rid of the aggressive tones in their posts...OP's story was awesome, and he shouldnt have to stoop from his standards (asking for seperate bills) because some hispanic 'lady' was acting all uncouth like.

LMAO btw at her attempting to sell home made candles in the middle of your date. That should have been the signal for you to say..."I dont see anymore candle lit dinners in our future, Maria"...and just get up and walk away on that awesome note.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Some dates just fail. It's part of the game. There are people who just don't get it.

I've had people from the online scene that look NOTHING like their pics...i.e. using a pic from 7 years ago when they weren't 200#.

I have had women who have NO concept of how a "date" is supposed to work...had one girl meet me at a shop in the mall and somehow think it would be OK if we went over to the Verizon store to get her cellphone fixed. You know, "while we were in the area".

Never be afraid to just end the date. Tell her you appreciate her coming out, but this is really not working for you, so let's just wrap it up early. Don't elaborate on what's wrong...you'll either offend her or she'll go out of her way to make it up to you, which makes the night even more awkward.

It's an ego-buster to have a date not work out, but it's really not something you should take personally.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

That would have been great to use about the candle light. This site used to have many cool guys on it. I appreciate you liked the story instead of calling me a moron.... which I do not see why I was labeled as such. I wanted to share a true story that these kind of WOMEN exist! I rarely come here for advice, but mostly to see what everyone is doing and to tell a few stories. The people calling me idiots are not out doing either and I would bet that I probably have more experience than they do.

I guess I am an idiot because I spent $10 on a pig at a LUNCH date, whereas a lot of guys could out spend that on drinks easy. So I accept sucker of the day.

As far as dating a woman with kids, I learned in my mid twenties it generally is not a good idea. Dating and getting them horizontal----TWO different things.

Besides, you cannot make my horrible lunch date up. It was worth the price of admission for the humor value.

In my case it was not an ego buster, it was a hard dose of reality that I was way out of here league. I generally go for the classy feminine type. I would be willing to bet the pics I saw were several years old too.
