"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Ok so I go on MSN one time and I have this conversation:

Me: hey
Her: hi
Her: wil u buy me something ..like clothes
Her: ??
Me: lol y?
Her: coz i want some
Me: umm no
Her: new ones
Her: ohh plz
Me: haha buy em yourself if you want em so bad
Her: tell ur parents u need to buy ur ilfriend a shirt
Me: but that would b a lie wouldnt it?
Her: no
Me: mm really?
Me: im still not buyin ya clothes
Her: come one
Me: wats in it for me?
Her: wat do ya want
Me: depends
Me: how much is this shirt lol?
Her: 49.00
Her: dollas
Me: yeh i guessed that dollers part
Her: lol
Me: lol and you jsut expect em to have a spare 50 bucks
Her: ok wel i can get a cheaper one
Her: 30 dollas
Her:?
Me: mm yeh thats still 30$ i would rather not spend
Her: u cuda just sed that in the first place
Me: good point
Hmm so what do you guys make of this?

My guess... She's trying to take advantage of me because she knows I like her. Sure I could of made the conversation a bit better but oh well who cares now. But I'm still curious...

Then I go on another time and the conversation is:

Her: hahahahah (my name)...
Me: Yeh?
Me: umm what?
Her: ummmm don't be rude
*she logs off*
Damn chicks are so confusing. And did I mention her display picture was of her and another guy during that second conversation.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

dude either shes tryin to be very subtle about showing that she likes you (tell ur parents ur buying a shirt for you girlfriend comment) and is trying to make you jealous with the pic. or shes havin a laugh at you and messing with your head. my best bet would be the 2nd one.

stay away from that kind of girls , she just wants o use you make you buy her **** and do her stuff, and she was trying to make u jelous when she changed the pic, so that you would really consider bying her stuff.....
more and ore girls are becoming *****es like that....

but you got two options you can :

1. play her and get a lay or sumthing , but this requires some skill...

2. move on and try to stay away from girls like her.....

Jester I thought that your first scenario was true at first being my stupid AFC self. But the the good guys here made me realise that I'm stupid and the second scenario was true.

Morphiex your right. AC/DC said the same thing. I wouldn't have the skill to play her so I best just move on. Might be hard because of my 'stupid AFC self'.

Anyway the new-found attitude I have thanks to this site should help.

You could've probably used some C&F along the way...
maybe something like

HER: Buy me some new clothes? Please?
YOU: Oh cmon, I'm sure there are much better ways to make you happy.
HER: No~ I want clothes, please?
YOU: If you want them so bad, you're gonna have to do something special for me;)
HER: Like what?
YOU: Welllllllllll....you have to cook for me, give me a good 1hour massage, clean me up in the showers, and tuck me into bed :D
YOU: Did you get that? I've only just started reading the list!

it's not just keyboard jockeying, that's what I would have done.

As for the girl, chances are she's planning on using you; seems like a red flag when she's trying to use you for your money!

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
