There's a flaw with this though. Women at the time of their husbands getting killed in war NEEDED to move on in order to survive. Life or death situations are much different than the average comfy lifestyle. Women today do not need to. They just randomly decide what they want to feel that day. Not only that, but this does not explain sh!tty female behavior either. It doesn't even explain how a woman could SUDDENLY become unfaithful while still with her man. During those periods of history you mentioned, women were almost never unfaithful nor did they believe their vaginas were golden. They thought how they were mothers and had to keep their husband happy so that she could provide for and nurture her kids. There is a difference between being able to move on if your spouse dies, and willingly cheating on a man who would give his life for you.

Let's just go with the flow. Tbh back then more interesting and diverse threads were being posted .

My take is that if we look at "the hero " in movies and novels, he oftentimes is stoic due to knowing too much. He won't be moved by a woman's beauty because he's been there many ,many times. He's been broken and build up again numerous times, and although some will say he "knows too much" the REAL eager student of life will realise that it's still the best outcome for a man.

Then ,eventually there will also be a universe between knowing and acting on what one knows..it's a man's duty to know..and a woman's duty to " make him know something knew " despite the fact he been through the trenches a couple of times..

FWIW here is my take. Knowledge is only useful in rational evaluation. If you are trying to find meaning in emotional subjectivity, you are wasting your time.

In Pook's early writing he goes into some detail on why women (and men BTW) behave the way they/we do. Knowing this is interesting, but at some point you have to stop asking 'why' and just accept sh1t for the way it is. Example, women, unless they have been socially conditioned to remain loyal under any circumstance, are by nature hypergamous always scanning for the next best option... and what she wants or thinks she needs is based on her experience, values, and her immediate emotional needs. Knowing this does nothing for you if another dude comes along that she thinks is a better option than you.

All that is important is how she behaves in the present. She's hypergamous... so what? It is only really important to see what she does and how she behaves which will tell you when you are on your way out... then you get to dump her first. Don't let some 'relationship coach' convince you that 'counseling' and training is going to fix a failing relationship... cr@p like all you need to do is 'understand' each other, is pointless. All you need to know is that she is treating you like sh1t and you need to move on. If she still wants you, she will self-correct... if not... well the next dude can have his turn on the ride, you get off and find another.

There is a whole science behind weather prediction, and you can know why it rains... knowing why it rains is useless, it's more important to know when it happens so you know to get an umbrella or go inside.

this post is spot on. the always question, is how to get to place where our behavior will follow this correct advice?
