No specific books to me. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People has the basic essentials I guess. Then the Bible. I've read a lot more totally worthless self-help/inspirational books than I have good ones.

I actually owe a ton to this website, rather than a book.

If you are into getting wiser, read some schopenhauer and nietzsche. If you want to go the spiritual route I recommend Theravada Buddhism. Christianity is cool if you find a traditional church (this will not happen tho)

Mostly just this website because you can still feel nuance and emotion through some texts here, like people post how they talk so I think just reading here is better than most books really. This sounds typical, but the Book of Pook was pretty good. Funny thing is, I didn't even read all of it haha. I prolly should but eh.

I d say rational male and practical female psychology for the practical man for understanding woman. Leil Lowndes staff is very good on social skills. But her Breathless Style and grating voice are pretty painful on audiobook

The shallow man. Nice book on the dangers of the pua lifestyle.

Elmer Gantry. 1930s book about a traveling Bible salesman. Well written funny and full of interesting tricks for separating the ladies of the day from their bloomers

I'd agree that everything you need is on this website. However finding and collating it is quite the job. It's easier to buy a few books for the foundation and then develop your own personal Style from experience and the material here that resonates for your stage of life and game.

Saw the movie, haven't read it. The Robert De Niro character is a perfect example of an otherwise "alpha" type guy who gets emotionally involved with the wrong woman. Dude doesn't know how to screen.

For me, it was mostly this website. I've read a bunch of books that helped me change my life, but this site was what got it all started. It's high importance and focus on self-improvement drove me to make the changes I needed to make in my life. I learned a lot of very useful things over the years while doing it, and that's what I enjoy sharing with others here.

Book is an excellent read. Alot different from the movie.
PURE REALITY and actually happened.
The casino boss(Lefty) is probably one of the most cringiest beta chodes of them all..

Rich gangster gets the stunner because of his money.
Of course shes a vegas hustler..single mommy,(babys dad is an LA pimp and scum bag)
Knocks her up twice to "lock her down" and marrys her giving her half of everything..
obsessive, neediness to the point of killing.
Fights were settled with +100k+ jewlerly
leaves with millions of dollars blowing it on drugs and biker partys
He takes her back over and over despite all of her unforgivable ****
She bangs the bosses best friend who is a rampant killer.
yada yada he almost gets blown up, she dies later

The DJ bible was what got the ball rolling for me. As a 14 year old chump the HS Bible made me see the light.

I've just read 'how to win friends and influence people' and I must say the principle are solid and work!

By far the most important thing for me was being real with where I was at. I had a lightbulb moment at 14 & have had a second one recently!
