Hey guys.

I have 2 plates I am becoming close with, but I am still not interested in a LTR at this time. What is everyone's default answer to this inevitable question if you don't want a LTR but you want to keep seeing that girl?

I know it needs to be done covertly and indirectly.

The long version of "it's me not you"

"I really enjoy your company. I'm just not in a place right now .... where I can offer anything full time. I wish that I was, but I guess that it'll take some time."

Her: "What are we?"

You: "I think it's dangerous to try and define this. We've gotta let this go where it wants to go."

If she keeps pressing, say:

"You know, a few months from now, maybe things will be different, but for right now, I'm enjoying being single. But, I also enjoy spending time with you."

Then, wrap your arm around her thigh, pull her on top of you, and kiss her.

That'll shut her up for another week or so.
Both of those are great! Thanks man

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

"I just got out of a marriage/relationship and I don't want to jump into anything serious too soon as I'm still recovering."

If they really like you, they'll understand and stick around. It also gives them a challenge to try to change your thinking.
