"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I don't eat any trans fat because I don't eat out anywhere, all food is made or prepared in mi casa. What is it about trans fats that makes them so bad? I see stuff on the news "BAN TRANS FAT" and so on. I just want to learn, knowledge is power. Anyone care to elaborate?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

just fyi 0 grams of transfat doesn't mean none, it can also mean less than 1/2 gram per serving (in the US anyhow). it's being taken out of a lot of stuff, but the only way to be sure is to make sure the ingredients don't refer to partially hydrogenated oil.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Think of essential fatty acids as very long delicate chains of molecules. When these are heated up they become broken and disfigured like a foreign glue-like substance. This substance does not occur in nature and is very dangerous to ingest. Eating these fats is like putting poison in your system. Trans-fats or hydrogenated oils are probably responsible for 99% of all cancers.

Things that you don't want in your diet are: Margarine, fried foods, pastries, anything that says hydrogenated oil on it.

huh? that doesn't even begin to make sense.

most of the substances we ingest do not occur in nature. we invented this thing called cooking that changes most of them. not everything artificial that we do to food causes cancer.

trans fats are not linked to cancer (though I wouldn't rule it out), they're linked to heart disease. partial hydrogenation takes normal liquid oil fat and turns part of it into solid saturated fat, but leaves behind some other fats that have been changed into something that doesn't occur in nature. we've figured out that substance (trans fat) is linked to heart disease (and maybe other stuff, but no one has shown it yet).

Fully hydrogenated oils have become saturated fat, the kind you mostly find with animal flesh, and no one has shown that the artificial process used to get there has any ill effects.
