His biggest problem isn't being short, his problem is that he has a victim mentality. I once went out with a friend and two Brazilian girls. The guy was good looking and he had a much better job than me, dressed well and spoke good Portuguese. At some point we were dancing with the girls and he said to one of them "if I was taller I would ask you out". Needless to say...

Being short sure is an dis-advantage that prevents him from achieving certain goals that taller guys would have less problems to achieve, but it does not 100% account for 100% of his failure. So I'd advice him to hit the gym, eat healthy, read more books, ditch social media and work on himself more aka channeling his energy inwards instead of outwards.
