"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

so im chatting to this chick on FB (HB 7.5)

interest seems to be high as she's replying a lot quicker than i am which is always a good sign

so i decide to go for a meet up

me: so how about you send me your number and then we can arrange for me to introduce myself properly this weekend ? x

her: haha yea sure its xxxxxxxx , what do you mean introduce yourself properly ? xx

( think she's a little slow )

me: ummmmm like a date !?! ;) x

her: haha we shall see xx

my first thoughts are s*it test !?!

so i havent replied , il hit her up friday because I've got her number now

just not not heard that line before

i like how she's not committing to a date but not dismissing it either

if she wasn't interested then in my experiences she would have moved the convo on or agreed to the date and just flaked

thoughts brothers

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I wouldn't wish to analyze what her stupid response meant and it doesn't matter. Call her thursday, don't ask questions, be brief, tell her you'd like to go out with her fri, if she says yes, tell her where and when, ok, see ya, bye, hang up.

Let it go down on your terms, not hers. If she says "oh I can't do fri because I'm attending my my neighbor's goldfish's funeral", without suggesting an alternative date (saturday) tell her you'll call her, bye, hang up. Maybe even if she asks you, "how about saturday", you should tell her you can't and that you'll call her. If she was ever even slightly interested in you, this should increase her IL.

And no more chatting on FB. You can turn it off for her for a couple of days.

Only way to find out is if she says YES to your date. I would make plans ASAP, most people got plans for the weekend... Sooner you ask the sooner you know.

Yes. I've heard the "we shall see" line before and whenever I heard that line it was the kiss of death. In woman-speak it means: "maybe if nothing better comes around". It also presupposes a qualification period, where the frame is totally spun in her direction meaning if x, y, z are fulfilled and its tenative at best. Spin more plates.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
