Just change around your messages poohead.
No reason to want to burn some online chick, which isn't going to happen anyways, because your response to their profile sounds AFC.
You're message expresses to much interest, compliments them, and then asks boring questions that don't get them thinking.
Try a similar structure to what you would do during the initial interactions with a girl on the street.
A lot of the ones I do are something like:
Hey,
Checked out your profile and saw you rock-climb. That's pretty uncommon, you done it long?
I did some rock-climbing last year in California over the summer with some friends, that was a crazy experience.
Gotta love travelling, it's definately important to get out an see new things. It's to easy to just get stuck in a routine and not try new things, you know what I mean?
So where's the coolest place you've been lately?
I get responses almost 100% of the time keeping with that structure.
You express a basic interest without being kiss-ass or over complimentary.
You do a slight demonstration of value.
You tap into a commonality for them to relate to (The stuck in a routine thing, since everone understands that feeling)
Then you give the a question that will make them think, because its a subtle qualifier and they will try and come up with something to show they are cool.
Westbeaches response was a good one as well, and you can come up with your own style. Just don't be like every other moron out there that sends a kiss-ass first message.
You wouldn't display that much interest in a girl at a bar would you?
How far do you think if you went up to a girl and said:
"Hey cool outfit, i really like it"
"You come here often, like to play pool?"
"Oh I see you drink beer, I loooove beer to!"
"You go to club X much?"
Online structure isn't that much different than real life, except you can't use body language, voice tone, or confident aura as a replacement for good verbal (in this case written) game.
But the principles apply. Assume she would be interested in a catch such as yourself, initiate a convo but get her to qualify herself a bit. Since it's assumed she wants you, you need to screen her to see if she is a good fit for you. You think she may be, but aren't sure yet.
If you want, PM me your profile and I'll give you some suggestions. Easiest way to pull from online is to write up a decent profile then filter through all the girls who send initial messages to find one's you want. Keeps your time investment small, but results fairly good.
