"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Was this being a prick or trying too hard to not be nice?

This chick at uni walked by me while I was sitting (we are in a few classes together but barely talk, nor am I interested). She dropped her phone right in front of my feet and looked at me and asked if I could pick it up for her. I didn't respond and another girl behind her picked it up for her and as she walked away she called out "snob".

What do you guys think? Is it me or her? I'd probably rate her a 6 or 7.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Tight game. Maybe you'll spot her walking in the parking lot as your pulling out and you can floor it towards her.

j/k. Maybe ignoring her was a little bit uncalled for. Why didn't you bust her balls just a bit and go for the number?

Having said that there's a DJ Bible tip advocating being an azzhole for a day once every so often which I often put into practice.

It depends.

If her arms were full with books and it would have been difficult for her to pick it up herself, then you'd have been a prick.
If she was just standing there with her hands on her hips waiting for you to be her manservant, then she'd have been the prick.

Think she had 2 small books in her arms (not heavy at all could've handled both with one arm). She was also standing right next to it as well. I don't understand haha. Don't want her number, I'm not interested at all. I do have her on Facebook though.

Here's an incoherent answer but try to follow it.

You shouldn't have ignored the phone if you were closer to it. That was you being a prick.

She shouldn't have expected you to get the phone. That was her being a b!tch.

Being nice means doing things for acceptance not because they are the appropriate things to do.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Just about the same distance, with the difference of me sitting and her standing. I mean I believe people should earn respect, not demand it.

I totally agree with that. If it was me there is no way I'd ever be courteous to her again. I'd probably step on her hand the next time.

Common courtesy earns you respect in most situations though. It's the times it doesn't that we remember but start focusing on what it does get you from the right kind of people.
