Was this a **** test? if so did I handle it correctly?

I was texting this girl , HB 8.5, about these girls that are into me and how they keep hinting that I should ask them out. I tell her that for me, its either I get many girls at a time or none at all. She says its not bad to be wanted. I text her back that it is great and everyone is always nice to me now. She says that nice people make life good. I agreed and told her life is too short for mean people.
OK so ive been talking to this girl a lot, I'm usually nice to her but not always, cause I'm not a B.
So after I txt her that life is too short for mean people, she says:
Her: Seriously...I guess I'm gonna have to cut you out if my life now loll
Me: Lol you'd miss me too much
Her: No no I need nice people in my life, you said it yourself )
Me:Lol you're right. You do. :] and you're right, I'm not nice enough. And I have no plans to change. :]
Her: lolll
I didn't text her back. I felt like a beta would try to prove to her that he is nice enough. I did the opposite. Was this a **** test? How'd I do? Lol

What's up man, I'm pretty new to posting in this forum but I have been following it for quite some time.. Anyway I think you did well holding your ground, I think she was testing you just to see how you would have responded. I think you did well, just less lol's and :]. Those should be used sparingly

Would've been great if you were conversing with her in real life and instead said: "Yeah, I guess I'm not really nice. But, you know what they say, nice guys finish last." Then grab her waist and go for the kiss.
