"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

This is sort of a spin-off from the "Player got Played" thread because it got me thinking about this:

I've spent a lot of time with uncles and other older family members throughout my life. In conversations with my uncles, who are mostly 55 and up, recall how they got their wives was by chasing them and chasing them until they finally got them. Doing things that today would be considered way to AFC for the modern man. The way they make it sound, all you had to do was show some interest in a girl or complement her dress or say something like "Gee, Suzie, you sure got some pretty eyes, you wanna go over to Wally's Ice Cream shop and share a banana split?" and she was yours to keep. I just don't know.

Any of you ever had discusions with old guys who lived in different times? I'd like to know if this really was the case and hoe AFC became so taboo. Its funny when I'm talking to them and a hot girl will walk by and they tell to go up to her and tell she has nice hair. I'm like "Yeah right! She'll laugh in my face."

It was a different time.

Most of my family are 60-70+ years old now and put it this way,
most men back then actually were men.

they worked very very hard and very very long.

They lived in a time where black people and white people were either forced to go to school, eat, dine, drink, and so on in different places.

Or they were in a place where things started to slowly change and many people refused to accept it.

They lived during a time when many women stayed at home and raised kids. Many women did not look for careers or if they did, they weren't trying to compete with men.

They lived during a depression. They lived during wars. They lived when there was more respect towards others.

They lived during the FREE LOVE, NO BRAS, and the hippie generation era.

They lived during the whole disco era during the 1970's.

Hell even during the 1980's there was the crack and rock and roll era.

While it wasn't "THE BEST TIME" ever as some people claim, people did have more respect, in general, for other people.

Today, nobody respects anybody. Male or female.

Look at most children who disrespect their own parents. Disrespect their own parents in public.

I know if i ever said or did some of the things kids say to their parents today,, I'd get my azz beat ten times over.

We live in a PC world.

Back then, things like what Joe Namath said on TV about kissing the reporter would not be seen as "NEWS."

THe problem today is many people dress to impress, esp women, yet when somebody actually notices and compliments them, lawsuits are filed.

We live in an era where "MY LAWYER WILL BEAT YOUR LAWYER."

We live in an era where "MY GUN is BIGGER THEN YOUR GUN," instead of solving problems by fighting with your own two fists.

Was it better back then?

Depends on how you look at it. In many ways it was. BUt in many other ways, most people today wouldn't last a day during that time, yet our parents and grandparents live in our time.

You have to remember that American Society and the world in general was different back then. Women at that time were usually expected to get married and start families right after highschool and in some cases were even discouraged from going to college.

They were expected to raise families rather than educating themselves or building a career. There was none of the "girl power" or songs like "independant woman" by Destiny's Child. Because of this a good reliable man was all you had to be to attract women.

Now that women don't rely on men in quite the same way(financially etc) some of the criteria for what they look for has changed.

Also consider that our generation is the right now generation. When we want something, we want it right away so often If a woman is not swept off her feet when she first meets you, there's no second chance. That's why all of these DJ skills are so important now.

But that's just my opinion.
