Wanting To Help A Young African Lady

Just wondering what your friends think about you sending her money? Are they helping out too?

Instead of taking on all the responsibility why not approach it as a group?

I'd be worried about sending a lot of money to someone in a poor area. You might be setting her up for a lot of trouble if others find out.

If it is all legit I'd send in smaller amounts over a longer period of time.

The purpose of my thread was to see if anyone has experienced that part of the world Tanzani specifically it's Moshi, Tanzani and it's people and I end up getting the 3rd degree for wanting to help a young lady who lives there who is studying to be a doctor which checks out from friends and family who know her personally. I was only sharing information about my experience so far with this lady and others in the area and wondered if other had similar experiences if any.

I am blamed for being a troll and I should be banned for wanting to help a less fortune individual out.

So to be a real man is to be selffish and self centered and to turn a blind eye.

I intend to share my wealth where I see fit being I am single and never married with no kids. I am sorry I bored the forum with my thread so Moderators delete this thread and unregister my account please.

Personally, I sponsor 5 kids (3 boys, 2 girls: 3 in Uganda, 1 in South Africa, 1 in Thailand) and also put money towards sponsoring a seeing eye dog in training.

Not big money, but about $4,000 a year. Sure I couldn't spend the money on something else like a big screen TV, but thus makes me feel much better.

It would be foolish not to, it would be just as foolish to get butthurt over opinions that disagree with yours and run off with your tail between your legs. I appreciate your advice Slickster my friends see no problem with it as they know her personally. They are not as well off as I am so that is the reason a group giving isn't possible.

She is in an area that won't effect her safety her friends are all Christian and the medical school she is enrolled in is a christian organization.

What I send in my opinion is a smaller amount and so far all is good.
