thanks for the input! detailed vivid imagination is important to get the most out of this... but is it so detailed to the point that there's actual dialogue/conversations while in "theatre of mind?" or is it like a silent movie where you vividly see images w/out the talk? since i've been using "theatre of mind," i've never incorporated actual dialogue, but mainly vivid images and state of mind (feeling relaxed, confident, etc.) what do you think works best?
First and foremost keep this in mind,
when visualising things that are realistic, the mind on its own can not tell the difference if it was imagined or not. Knowing this and that reality is an experience built on the combined input of multiple senses, wouldn't it be advantageous to use all of the sensory stimulus possible?
Think about this, take any of your visualisation experiences and in addition to making the size as large as an IMAX screen and the colors as vibrant as HDTV, add full rich dialog; the dialog the you
would want to hear in real life.
For example, you see yourself approaching a group of women, not only confident but competently. You see them smile as you approach even though you have yet to say a word. You smile back and you feel in your chest the resonance of the words "Hello ladies, mind if I join you?" as they easily flow from your mouth. The women all smile and say "No, not at all!" as they make room for you. As you sit down you can't help but notice the scents of their cologne, you notice Cool Water, Eternity (obviously from the women to the left and the right of you) and you wonder to yourself which one will spark your interest most....
Remember, you naturally take in a wealth of information via multiple senses, use them all to create the state which you want to create in your visualisation.
