I just got rid of this son of a b1tch virus.

Bros, beware of this thing. it disguises itself as windows security to attempt to scare you into buying the fake program.
It was annoying as all hell. Pop up every two minutes telling me I'm "infected!" with legit programs. Ignored it until this morning, but the bastard even blocks programs. it would not let me start firefox, changed my settings, and wouldn't let me run the anti malware to kill it. I had to run Rkill first to stop it and then get rid of the thing.
Luckily it didn't progress further than that, but I was researching it online and some people report turning off their computer and having the virus forever trap them on the login screen and blocking the desktop. it also logs itself onto the internet and downloads crap onto your computer
you can get it from a lot of places, most notably the usual suspects (Porn sites and file sharing) but I don't know where I got mine. I think my sister might have downloaded it by accident. She saw something about a "scanner" which is one way it can hide itself. The virus usually disguises itself as an update, so be careful guys
As always make sure your protection software is up to date
anyone else have experience with this virus or others like it?
