Using humor

I suck at telling jokes, but people say I'm still a pretty funny guy.

The thing is, It's not that I say funny stuff, I use actions, or voice tone to make normal things sound funny. I watch comedians such as Dane Cook, and realized that he is the same way. It's not the same just listening to Dane Cook on CD. It's just not as funny as actually WATCHING him, the reason for this is that when he does his routine, he uses his body language, and that's what makes him hilarious. I highly suggest you watch one of Dane Cook's performances, watch things as simple as how he walks around on the stage. I even used a few of his jokes on a date, for example:

I took a girl to the movies, and we sat down and commented on how comfortable the seats are. I then said "look baby! the armrest, it goes up! See we got a nice place to put our arms, and then if i do this (raises armlift) You can blow me if the movie is bad." I said this in a joking, sarcastic tone and she ate it up. It was all in the voicetone though, I don't recommend trying that one unless you can practice it with the right tone.

Alright guys, now I put this in the discussion form because I want to see other examples or tips on using humor while out on a date.

Haha it really wasn't that big of a deal, you have to say it like it's no big deal, so your girl don't take it too seriously. I just got one of those playful hits on the shoulder and she told me to shutup in a playful voice. Then I say "Oh im kiddin baby" and leaned in for a kiss. It went pretty well.

Lol, seriously guys if you have HBO on demand, go into there and look for Dane Cook's vicious cycle, it's free if you have HBO.

Humor isn't all about "jokes". Like you were saying, sometimes the funniest thing could be in your body language. The way you walk, a crazy reaction to a bad smell, the weird noise you make when you laugh. You don't have to say something to be funny.

yup any thing can be funny. you need to diret it. jokes are for stand ups commideans.. its easier to be funny wiht out jokes.. or liners...
