"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

"She's Out of Your League"

I joined back in 2013 (the date on this profile) as Grewd. I locked myself out of that account late 2019, joined again a month or two later as Serenity. Grewd no longer exists, but the posts do since it was all merged into this account.

I joined because I had social anxiety, failed miserably every time I did find the courage and wanted to take a hard look at what my problem was. The problem was resolved a long time ago, but the topic of this forum still fascinates me and something about passing it on to the next guy in that situation.

I don't post as much as I used to, it takes time to write good posts and my life is busier than it used to be. I do check the forums every day and toss in my 2 cents if I have the time.
