"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

I'm in a dilly of a pickle, or at least that's what the 60s-70s Robin would say.

I've already taken her out to Santa Monica Pier, did some fun and "fun" stuff there
I've taken her to play pool, did some more "fun" stuff

It's been a week and a half of not taking her out and this Saturday I'm not sure where to take her out to.
I was initially thinking of the movies, but then there are no good movies out lately; I'm kinda aiming for April 7th or 8th for a flick, since The Benchwarmers will come out and I figured a good comedy movie might make things more interesting.
Or perhaps the LACMA museum, where I'm sure only 5% of the guys in LA actually take a girlfriend to; I can find out her views on certain stuff, maybe fool around in unguarded areas of the museums, etc etc.
Or maybe even a decent theme park like Universal Studios Hollywood; I have a season pass, so I can just help her pay for the tix.
Now, I'm sort of fresh out of ideas (pathetic, yes), so I've come here to ask for some advice:

What are some creative or casual things that I can do with my girl this weekend (I live in L.A. without a car; that's like fighting in a war without a gun) outside of the 3 things I brainstormed at the moment?

brainstorm on DJ's! please help!:cuss:

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Which date is this? The third??

I'd save the amusement park for a special occasion, to be honest. You don't want to raise her expectations on dates too far too early. On the other hand, it's not like you'd be going to disneyland...universal studios is pretty cheap so I guess that's cool.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
