She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

It wouldn't be the rich who would demand that the laws be changed, but rather ordinary Americans - that is, everyone who isn't making a killing off free market globalization.Rovalier said:The Super Rich would just move to bloody China instead of wasting money and time changing the legislation to a more protectionist ones (even that does not guarentee $$ and productivity) it might end up being worse. I even now know guys who are reasonable wealthy (Balance Sheet wise) that owns multiple properties around the globe. You also have to remember manufacture jobs that once were here are now displaced with information and service ones. Look AT IBM they hardly focus on computers anymore, more R&D/chip and service stuff.
So the US will just nuke a country suddenly, without warning, for no reason?PRMoon said:I doubt Russias military would or could act fast enough to retaliate against a stealth nuclear strike. Their armed forces are in shambles and most or their silos are "silent" meaning the complex guidence systems needed to direct an ICBM over those thousands of miles have been removed.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
I'm not sure if I even wanna expend time or effort to explain it to you, but if you ask real nicely then I might do so. But I will ask this, why is it that you live in the US yet cheer for China? That would be like me cheering on a burgular trying to break into my house.Potbelly said:inferiority?? wtf are you talkin about???

These "rich" people tend to have the most clout because of their money (fund political parties). Not every rich guy inherited his riches either, they are smart people. They worked hard for it and they are not going to sit back and let someone take it from them.Visceral said:It wouldn't be the rich who would demand that the laws be changed, but rather ordinary Americans - that is, everyone who isn't making a killing off free market globalization.
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

The Nazis never had the opportunity to do so. If they had nukes would they have devistated the russian home front? Maybe, the Nazis were seeking GLOBAL domination so nuking one country during war time to demoralize the rest would be very plauseable (that's how we got the japanese to submit afterall).diplomatic_lies said:So the US will just nuke a country suddenly, without warning, for no reason?
Not even the Nazis were that cruel.
So if the US nukes an entire country, nobody is going to do anything? They'll just sit there and go, "Well that's life". We're talking about wiping out an entire country - up to 2 billion people dead. It's a more serious agreement than anti-missile treaties.PRMoon said:We made agreements with the Russians to stop the anti ICBM program as well and we've violated and currently are violating that agreement as well and nobody's doing anything becaue no one can.
There's a reason they call it mutually assured destruction. China may not have as many WMD as the United States, but it's still enough to take out most of the US population centres. You think the US people are willing to sacrifice 25% of their own population just to colonise Asia again?Regardless, if we decided to go to war with anyone and it seemed as if the tide were turning (if that's even possible) then don't think for a second we wouldn't go light thermo on some one.
Um...ya, thats a lie, please don't make stuff up. The Chinese are SLOWLY BUYING OUT the American government. They are investing money into our economy, so our dollar value will go up, decreasing OUR net exports, and increasing OUR imports of THEIR goods. They keep their money supply high so that way it is cheap and we get to invest in it.diplomatic_lies said:(because China has no interests in the American continent, whereas the US likes sticking its nose into other peoples business)
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
You're not taking into account what kind of mentality the US would have to be in order to take this course of action. If for some reason the US would become what would be inessance a "global terror" and went totalitarion then there would be little any other country would or could do to stop them. To date the US is the only country to be labled a hyper power (one step above a super power) because if it's influence and direct effect on the global community. Although it should be noted that it was dipolomacy that got the US to this point and not war. A situation like this would go against all rationality and leave diplomicy, the US's most valuable trait/weapon/tool checked at the door.diplomatic_lies said:So if the US nukes an entire country, nobody is going to do anything? Well to be completely honest the bulk of their missiles wouldn't even make it here. The DF-5 is a relatively slow moving missile and would make easy prey for a small squadron of F14 equiped with air to air missiles. Even if the missiles some how made it more then half way across the ocean, the us could use the patriot system to take down the bulk of the chinese nuclear arms with little effort. There are more counter measures set up to take down low flying nukes but we don't really need to discuss them here. The main point is mutually assured destruction is quickly becoming a thing of the past for the more advanced countries of the world. We've come a long ways since the cold war and technology has no signs of slowing down.diplomatic_lies said:There's a reason they call it mutually assured destruction. If the US ever becomes a threat to the free world, then they can be stopped. Yes, maybe the world will be crippled along the way, but the US will still be stopped.PRMoon said:If for some reason the US would become what would be inessance a "global terror" and went totalitarion then there would be little any other country would or could do to stop them.
Exactly - which is why China has recently moved into a diplomatic route. They know America is an aggressive country who aren't afraid of blowing up the world to get their way, so Beijing is quietly cutting off any excuses for the US to attack. The only way American troops will land in Shanghai is, if the US government becomes a fascist dictatorship.Well to be completely honest the bulk of their missiles wouldn't even make it here. You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
